7/27/10 Final update from MC Class 2009-2010 (see mcokctour.blogspot.com)
BUSY
WEEKS!. After seeing John Port and Larissa Cunkle become Mr and Mrs.
Port. ( Woot! ) Pastor John and Pat Ward drove us on June 30th
to Collinsville, IL, for our last full tour presentation. So welcome
and free to follow the Spirit we received many words from the Lord for
many in the congregation. The next day we drove to Lancaster, OH. and
had fun seeing Toy Story 3 in 3d. Then to Summersville PA, to minister
but we felt like we were poured back into more. We helped with their
community outreach penny carnival and spent time with Pastor David
Shay, his family and the Church families. Jordan caught the biggest
fish but Larissa's fish kept breaking the line. Four of us girls that
Sunday had a prophetic painting for the church all involving water and
refreshing. It was an amazing time of rest before heading to Microsoft.
At the two shows several of our MC's and potentials were complimented
over and over about how much they appreciated us.
Joseph,
Hannah and Jeffrey were the only MC's from Oklahoma working the late
tear down strike (fifteen hour day) along with 2 others out of the 30
who worked were called "all stars" because of the quality of their work
and attitude. John and Jordan were told by their lead that he would
recommend them to any boss because of the skills and knowledge and
attitudes they had. Several attendees thought they were actual
Microsoft sales team members. Laura's lead requested her back because
her positive work ethic. Angela and our potential student Brett were
told by their leads that they were their favorites because they did not
complain and went above and beyond what they expected and were able to
find creative ways to solve problems. Mr Bell told Jordan that he so
appreciated MCOKC's servants spirit and how they were good examples to
other MC's and attendees, of Christ and of EventForce. He was glad to
have them be a part of EventForce. At WPC they tried a new job,
Transportation Assistant and several of the MC's from Oklahoma worked
it. The supervisor said that the Oklahoman workers were the best he had
ever had-better than his employees.
OUR BUSY LAST WEEK! Students finish writing their class covenant before the
signing luncheon, Jennifer Cunkle shot amazing class pictures, writing
final curriculum evaluations, writing affirmations for the class,
preparations for graduation and packing to go home. Saturday night is
the official graduation ceremony. Sunday morning will be a time of
commissioning and prayer where they will perform their graduation dance
and Sunday night is the actual banquet followed at 7PM with the ring
ceremony open to all.
Thank
you so much for your prayer and support this year. We appreciated it so
much and can not thank you enough and with many many tears we are
saying goodbye but as Miss Barbara reminds us, the Lord has purpose for
us as we return home.
Love Angela

Our
MC's contributed in many areas at the multi-generational Gatekeepers
Conference in KY, and made some more positive contacts for potential
students from the five participating churches. We were told
repeatedly that just being present encouraged everyone. They
ministered on stage, helped with childcare, led the youth track,
involved the youth in both a rhythm presentation Saturday night and
prophetic painting.
Thank you for your prayers because
each day, both coming and going, the weather report change and snow
move further out of our traveling path.
We had our spring
break and it was really awesome to be able to go home and see our
families. It was especially nice as when we came back we left a few
days later for Seattle. We were there for about two weeks and it was
wonderful. We went for a Microsoft show and Generations Conference.
They were both amazing. It was wonderful to be poured into at the
Conference and then be able to pour it out at Microsoft. We were able
to be back in time to see one of children's outreach do its spring
finally. They were absolutely wonderful and we loved being able to
see how hard they had worked on everything.
Right now we are
hard at work on our various dances, rhythms, human videos and our
personal testimonies. Our May tour and June/July fundraising plans
are pretty much set. We ask prayers for wisdom, grace and
fruitfulness. We have ministry stops in eight states, leaving April
28 and returning May 21.
Then the Kirkland Masters Commission
is with us May 28– June 2, so we need host homes over Memorial
Weekend for about 15 or more MC’s (call Larissa). They will
minister May 29 in the Will Rogers Park, then on Sunday AM, and be
here for our MCOKC tour “homecoming” presentation on Sunday eve,
May 30. That Sunday night we can minister to them, and our local
congregations can experience what our MC’s did on tour.
On
June 3 we go with them to New Orleans to work a Microsoft Show. Our
last trip is the first three weeks of July then home for our last
week before graduation (Paul Doherty will be our speaker) on July 31
and August 1. (Plus, we have a wedding at the end of June!)
We
have about four months left but we know how quickly that time will
pass. We ask that you would pray that the Lord would protect us as we
get ready for tour and ask that He would give us enabling grace to be
able to do all that He asks of us.
God bless,
Angela
and Jordan

Hello from MCOKC. Here is an update on what has been happening the
last few weeks of January:
We are now reading, “Understanding
Your Personal Prophecy” by Gary Cake. This book is all about
breaking down prophecies that have been given to you. It has been
helpful to us already. We had Jordan Sandquist and Jeremiah Cole from
Kentucky come up for a weekend. They prophesied over all of us and
then we were able to minister to others. A couple of us got words
confirming what the Lord was speaking to us.
We just
completed our Spiritual gift and temperament (personality) tests. It
is interesting to see the differences we all have, yet many of us
share the same gifts and motivational tendencies. Dr. Richard
Lineberry has trained us in the Wimber healing model and we were even
able to use it by praying for several people.
These last few
days we have not been able to have class due to the ice and snow that
we have gotten. We all have a bit of cabin fever after being stuck
inside for four days and we were more then ready to start classes
again.
Right now we are preparing to go to Cincinnati at the
end of the month for “The Kingdom Lavish Love Gatekeepers
conference.” Once we get back from Cincinnati it will be March and
we are only here for a week before our spring break. We're off to a
Master's Commission conference and a Microsoft show in Seattle March
15-26.
Please continue to pray for us. Laura Straessle needs
prayer for knee problems. Please ask the Lord to bless us financially
so that we can go to Costa Rica this year. We would love to go and we
know that if it is the Lord's will He will make a way.
Love
and God bless, Melissa and Angela

just
to let you faithful viewers what we have been doing, we asked several
people to write some things down, we combined them all and this is
what we got... hope you are all being blessed, and are seeing
evidence of the Lord living and moving in your lives.
We
watched a video series called Search For Self-Worth. During this the
Lord brought to light untouched areas in our hearts and minds and
renew them. We also got a chance to learn and practice how to worship
the Lord freely. Although we are diverse in our various instruments
and gifts, yet we are unified in our love and worship to God. We had
the privileged of participating in the annual Christmas Youth Talent
Show. Which raised money for the youth missions trip to New Mexico
this summer. Some danced, some sang, some watched but we all had a
good time. Despite a blizzard and flight delays, everyone was able to
get where they where headed and Ariana was even able to see the snow
for the first time.
Now
it is 2010 and we are back in Oklahoma ready for where the Lord is
taking us. Having had a wonderful time with our families, we are all
excited to jump back into the groove and start preparing for tour.
Presently we are reading The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind
by Bill Johnson. It is making us think outside of our old mindset;
and building a desire in us to understand and experience God more. As
always we are relying on the Holy Spirit to empower us to do what we
are learning. Thank you for all you continual prayers for us!
Love
Levi, Ariana and Angela

Thank
You, God, for doing amazing things for MCOKC and the congregations.
God is calling the men to be Godly and take greater leadership
responsibility-including using their voices. We had a wonderful time
serving at the Kaiser Public School Carnival right before leaving to
work our first Micro Soft Conference, in L.A., where, we were able to
build new friendships with other MC programs. Praise God, we were
able to do very well and we received praise from other directors and
the Microsoft management. After we came back from the show we had a
few days of class, then a Thanksgiving party at the Cunkle's house.
We had an amazing time, playing games, baking pies and being able to
just have fun, before having a few days off for the Thanksgiving
holidays. A couple students got the chance to go back home and spend
some time with their families, while the rest stayed and enjoyed the
holidays with their host families and friends here. This was Ariana's
first Thanksgiving ever!
After our break we came back to
class and discovered a change in atmosphere. God is taking us into
deeper and more intense levels as we finish up the book Authority in
Prayer by Dutch Sheets. He’s also expanding our outreaches. We had
our Whiz Kids Christmas Concert/Party. It was a great time of getting
to know the different families in the area and building relationships
with them. The next night we went Christmas caroling with Christ
Covenant Fellowship. We were able to visit different families from
the church and spend time getting to know each other as we tried to
follow Pastor Kerry from place to place. The next morning we went
with Church at Edmond to talk and help some of Oklahoma City's
homeless. Besides helping cloth and feed them, we were able to pray
for them and show them that we cared. The next night we went to
Lawton, OK, Riverside Indian School, to pass out presents and connect
with these youth who have many needs. Pastor Dwight encouraged us to
remember as we looked into the faces of the homeless and youth that
our places could easily have been reversed, but for His grace to us
and our families. This past Wednesday we were able to pray the prayer
of Salvation with our Whiz Kids. There were around 35 kids and we
praise the Lord that we were able to show them the Way.
Just
one and a-half weeks away is our Christmas break. Thank you for the
extra financial gifts we have received from you, for the lunches
which some have brought to us, for our host homes and for your
support and prayers. Please pray for Ariana who will not be able to
return to Costa Rico for Christmas with her family, and for us to
have safe travel and good relationships with family and friends. We
are still changing but we hope they will see Christ in us and be
encouraged. Merry Christmas to all!
Love, Levi, Laura and
Angela

Hello
all! We have arrived in Los Angeles, CA for our first Microsoft
show of the year. We will start our jobs tomorrow, Nov. 15th.
All is well, and there is a sense of excitement in the air.
Please be praying for safety and peace during this time, and for safe
travel back to Oklahoma City on Nov. 20th. We love you all and
appreciate your support.
May God be with you, and may His face
shine upon you. Be blessed!

Thank
you for your support and prayers. Lately we have been busy in both
the churches and the outreaches, such as Trunk or Treat and the
Kaiser School Carnival. Pastor John Ward has been teaching us out of
Strengthening Yourself in the Lord by Bill Johnson, and Pastor Kerry
Freeman has been teaching us out of The Practice of the Presence of
God by Brother Lawrence. We've also been learning how to ask Dr.
Lineberry hard questions in his class “Old Testament Survey.”
We
were privileged to have Jerbarco Arnold, one of the Lead dancers from
Christ Church Kirkland, come in to help in the choreography of our
dances and human videos.
November
14th-20th we will be at our first Microsoft show of the year in Los
Angeles, CA. Please pray a hedge of protection around each of us, and
that the Father's love and joy be apparent in us.
May
be blessings of the Lord be with you,
Jordan

Greetings
from MCOKC
We
are super excited for the new year and are already off to a great
start. We have eight new students, two interns and two staff. We are
looking forward to an incredible year of getting to know each other
and growing in the Lord. It is a joy getting to know our host
families and becoming a part of their family. There was no
hesitation in the release of spiritual gifts beginning with prayer
and prophetic words for the students at the Induction service. The
week after Induction we all went camping. This provided a good
opportunity for growing relationally. There were some initial car
problems, but we got there. We ate at Meers, the only restaurant in
the U.S. where they raise their own beef and where they have
HUGE burgers. We hiked, played Uno-crazy rule style, had campfires
and got rained on, but that didn't stop us from enjoying each other
and the members of Covenant Life Church. We saw: buffalo, deer,
prairie dogs, a tarantula, long horn steers, wild turkeys and
lizards. Pastor Dwight had fun catching four fish. We had a good
time of bonding.
We
have already been involved in outreaches with 4 different churches
and have been reading some great books and having discussions about
them. This last Friday we had a “Day of Encounter” where
the Lord was able to move and break off spiritual obstacles, setting
us free in areas of our lives. In preparation for this day we had
Pastor Dwight Cunkle, Pastor John Ward and Dr. Richard Lineberry come
in and talk about forgiveness, inner healing and deliverance. We also
fasted and prayed over this day. The Lord was faithful. We ask
that you all pray for a wonderful year, for health and for a
year filled with growth and victories in the Lord.
Jordan
Marlowe, with the help of Kendra Cunkle, is preparing a slide show
from our Induction service and first few weeks. It will be
posted to our website by November 30th.
