The Uniqueness of MCOKC
Our unique vision is to develop a model for other churches to combine their strengths and build up one another where weak. (Ephesians 4:13-16) Once there was “one city – one church.” How blessed we are when we help and defend one another in unity! (Psalm 133) We believe congregations can join together because we already help one another in various ministries and in combined youth and young adult events. Our MC students will benefit from the different gifts of the pastors and Dr. Lineberry, and the community will be brought to Christ as we all grow in unity and love. (John 17:20-23)

Our Mission
To provide a Christ-centered environment for young men and women to grow into an intimate relationship with God, develop Christ-like character, learn to serve Him and the community, unify the generations, and become world changers. Heart changes will occur through immersion in worship, intimacy with God, individual mentoring, relationally based training, generational impartation, and living with a supportive family.

Staff

Larissa Cunkle, Administrative Assistant

I first went to Master’s Commission in Kirkland, Washington, in the fall of 2005 and graduated the following summer in 2006. After that I came back to Oklahoma City to help start our MC Program here. I spent 2 years interning with the program and moved on to staff as the Administrative Assistant and Drama and Arts Director in the fall of 2007. Over the years it has been incredible to see what began as a small dream turn into a thriving ministry. I am so passionate about seeing restoration in the lives of young adults and helping them find the things they are passionate about. I love seeing them become the sons and daughters they are called to be, and to graduate and go out from here as lights proclaiming the life of Christ. I love getting to be a part of the growth of each year, and being able to share in life with these incredible young men and women.

John Clark Port, Outreach and Host Home Coordinator

Hi my name is John Clark Port. I was a student in 07-08 and I continued as an intern the following year. I am on staff this year as the Outreach Coordinator. I am very passionate about this program, rhythm and the arts. I love to see the students grow in prayer, spiritual gifts, and expressing themselves through the arts. I am so excited about the growth of the program and the life of the Lord in these students. I see that the Lord is really going to build more this year and I’m glad I get to be a part of it. His grace is enough and He will do great things.

Interns

Jordan Marlowe

I was born in Long Island, New York after my parents had lived there for a while. About 7 months later, we moved to Kentucky where I was raised. I have one brother and one sister ages 18 and 13 respectively. I am currently the bass player at Winchester Covenant Church on Sunday mornings and also play on Saturday evenings at the church my grandparents attend. I have a few special interests, which include tinkering with motors and playing music. I started working on motors about 2 years ago, and I have been playing guitar for about 7 years. My ultimate goal is to have a positive influence on others in whatever I do. After I complete MCOKC I would like to get a bachelors degree in both automotive technology and computer engineering. As I attend Master’s Commission I would appreciate prayer for protection from sickness and for ease of travel throughout the year.

Angela Arechiga

I am originally from Gresham Oregon, but I was called to Medford, Oregon where I went through three years of Armor Bearers, out of Joy Christian Fellowship, which is a group similar to MC's. From there I was able to get my Bachelors Degree in Theology and to travel to Ireland, Cambodia and Romania on short term missions trips. It was after I graduated that I was feeling kind of at a loss as to what I should be doing next. For about two weeks I would occasionally have a dream or feeling that a job was going to come out of nowhere at the Microsoft show. We went on what I thought would be my last Microsoft show and I came into contact with Pastor Dwight and the Oklahoma Master's Commission. I feel very honored to be considered to come to OK and join the MC's. I know that I will make lasting friendships here and can't wait to begin this next phase of my walk with Christ.

Students

Ariana Camacho

My whole life I have always planned things out, but the things that I had been planning were just not working out. I don’t know how, but God has brought me to this place, and I have decided to obey His voice. It is difficult being so far away from my family and country, but I know that God has a perfect plan for my life. I trust in Him and want to be filled with His joy. I want to be complete in Him. This is my honeymoon with God.

Melissa Camenisch

My name is Melissa Camenisch I am the daughter of Bill and Gina Camenisch and was born and raised in Winchester, KY. I am 18 years old and the 3rd born of 6 children. I love being from a big family. I grew up in “Winchester Christian Covenant Church,” and first gave my life to the Lord when I was around the age of 6. I first saw a Master’s Commission team come to my church while they were on tour back in 2002. I could see that they were all on fire for God and it was something that I wanted. God heard the desire of my heart (to set apart a year of my life to grow in relationship with Him) and really provided for me to be able to come to Masters Commission this year. I am so excited for what God has for me here with new friends and family in Christ.

Unto you be all the Glory, God.

Ryan Ellis

I’m 20 years old and was born and raised in upstate central New York.  When I was 18, the summer of my junior year of high school, my family felt God wanted them to move from New York to Louisville Kentucky.  I have lived there in Louisville until now, when I felt God wanted me to go Masters Commission in Oklahoma City. I am looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do in my life this year.

Hannah Hall

Master’s Commission has been a dream of mine since I was thirteen when the Kirkland Mc’s came to my church.  I realized that day what they had, the joy, friendships, and a growing passion for Christ was what I wanted.  I was born and raised in Lansing, MI and attended New covenant Christian church all my life.  I have one older sister, two younger brothers, and a younger sister and two of the best parents in the world.  I am 18 years old, and graduated from high school in the spring of 09 which was the best class ever!!!  I enjoy music of all kinds, and enjoy playing guitar. Through the prayers and support from my family and church, God has fulfilled my dream.

Levi Lamy

Hey, my name is Levi. I'm  a19 y.o. eastern Kentucky boy.  I've pretty much lived there all my life. I love to play music (bass, guitar) & just do stuff outside. I first heard about MCOKC last year when my best friend came to it. I was not going to come. I was so set against it, it was almost ridiculous. Well, I had just recently reset my focus from living for what I, & really, what others wanted, to what God wanted. So one day I asked God the question I had been asking myself, and He said yes, I was supposed to go. I was like, this can't be right. So I said, God, if you really want me to go, you'll provide the way. I'm not gonna worry about it, and lo and behold He did. So here I am.

Laura Straessle

I’m originally from Conway, Arkansas where I lived with my parents, Michael and Mary, and my younger brother Daniel. I’ve attended our home church, Victory Fellowship located in Bryant Arkansas, with my family for the past eleven years. There I was on the Praise and Worship Dance troupe (The Deborah Company) with my mother and helped out with Children’s Church. I’ve completed two and a half years of college at the University of Central Arkansas and after my time in Master’s Commission I would like to go back and finish a degree in Early Childhood Education unless God reveals to me otherwise. I love anything to do with the arts including literature, dance, painting, sketching, acting, photography etc… My passion also lies in helping and spending time with children. My hopes and dreams for this year in Master’s Commission are for God to mold me completely into His daughter and expand the Vision that He has for my life. I’m hoping to come into the identity He has for me and to be better equipped in the Prophetic gifting He has given me.

Sarah Sundberg

I’m the daughter of Paul and Heidi Sundberg. I’m 19years old and from Andover, Ohio. I have 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters. I have lived on a dairy farm my whole life. I graduated from high school in June of 2009. I go to Christ Covenant Church in Middlefield, Ohio. I was baptized when I was 6years old. I decided this spring to come to MC. Through saving my graduation money and working this summer I got the money to come to MC’s. I like to sing, run, show cows, hang out with friends and play my instruments. I am looking forward to what God has for me and the rest of the class this year.
